10 Times Wrestling Recklessly Abused Kayfabe On-Air

After such a thoughtless destruction, it almost feels like The Nexus were never even that much of a threat to WWE's established roster, but for a small period in 2010, the NXT Season 1 group were absolutely unstoppable.

After their June Monday Night Raw arrival, weekly stand-offs between the group and WWE representatives were a highlight, with Wade Barrett's crew utilising their numeric advantage for calculated gang assault on the traditionally divided heel and babyface superstars.

Over the weeks this gradually changed, with uneasy alliances formed between locker room rivals, particularly during the electrifying build up to a blockbuster seven-on-seven SummerSlam main event. With a roster cautiously united, The Nexus were forced to hit and run, leading to an unintentionally cringeworthy moment on Monday Night Raw in which wrestling's fourth wall was hilariously smashed.

After the group targeted John Cena, the superstars showed unity in chasing Barrett and co right out of the building, but a rather over-enthusiastic 'Worlds Strongest Man' shattered the illusion by mistiming a cue and gingerly running alongside (and in some cases, in front of) half the departing gang!

In a subsequently absurd scene, Henry is overtaken by over half the heel field he calmly jogged ahead of, including a game Heath Slater who improvised a scuffle with the big man in an effort to keep the chase looking even remotely credible.
