10 Times Wrestling Was Electrifying
3. WCW's Chamber Of Horrors Match
Although the triple cage David Arquette extravaganza often sticks in the minds of wrestling fans, WCW promoted other cage matches that were even more ridiculous.
In the Chamber of Horrors Match from Halloween Havoc 1991, the team of Vader, Cactus Jack, Abdullah the Butcher, and the Diamond Studd battled Sting, the Steiner Brothers, and El Gigante. This match not only had cages in cages, but an electric chair at the center of the interior contraption.
The only way to win? Climb the cage and throw the switch to electrocute a member of the opposing team.
This was early-'90s overbooked WCW lunacy at its finest. And unfortunately for Abdullah the Butcher, Rick Steiner managed to escape the electric chair and belly-to-belly the blood-soaked roly-poly behemoth into the chair just before Cactus Jack...eventually...flipped the switch on his own teammate.
(Apparently, in kayfabe, the green mile ends with a brief nap, not a dirt nap.)
