10 Times WWE Fans Were Outraged At WrestleMania

7. The Chris Warren Band Offends America

With the WWF at the precipice of the Attitude Era, WrestleMania XIV launched it under a storm of rampant in-ring quality, lewd celebrity cameos, and a transformative stylistic drive that ushered in new genres, a new philosophy, and the new, runaway megastar in Stone Cold Steve Austin. It was a crucial, intoxicating and à la mode show.

The fans however were not quite ready for one of its transgressions, in which the Chris Warren Band bastardised America The Beautiful with an awful nu-metal cover version. Warren simply screamed "America!" over and over again in a dumbass dirge of a rendition that fans audibly despised. Whether this offended their country or the very concept of music wasn't entirely clear.

This was considered so offensive that it has been cut from the WWE Network stream, and it's quite something. Fans of that era encouraged anything.

You can pile on concussive trauma with chair shot upon unprotected chair shot, you can tell everybody to suck your d*ck, you can reduce every woman in the immediate vicinity to a kewl pair of big bewbs.

Hell, you can even have a woman fake a miscarriage - but don't you dare disrespect muh 'Murica!
