Never before in WWE history had the franchise star of the company been so systematically destroyed as John Cena was when he battled Brock Lesnar in the main event of SummerSlam 2014.

Not only was Cena the face of the company, he was hero to millions of young fans across the globe. His creed of Hustle, Loyalty and Respect motivated those fans to become better than they were and his charity work made him a hero parents could be proud of. He had dominated the wrestling landscape for a decade and captured fifteen world championships along the way.

That is why no one could have imagined the match that would unfold before their eyes between him and Lesnar at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Over the course of their 16-minute contest, Lesnar delivered 16 suplexes to the WWE champion. That is a suplex per minute, a staggering statistic. During that duration, Cena mustered just over a minute of offense, making the match the most one-sided main event in company history.

Lesnar, the unstoppable force, demolished Cena and established himself as the most must-see Superstar in the industry. He also netted his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship since 2004.
