Speaking on Kofi Kingston's glorious and history-making WWE Championship win over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35, Woods tweeted:

I've never felt emotions like this in my entire career. @TrueKofi did it. We all did it. Tonight a previously closed off part of the @WWE universe universe realized that they can be champion too & that representation is so much more important than people realize. Congrats Kofi. We love you

Woods wept with joy from the moment the bell rang after the match, even as he carried Kingston around in his shoulders with partner Big E during the celebrations. A substantial number of those in attendance at MetLife Stadium were doing the same.
