10 Times WWE Revived AWFUL Storylines

6. Daniel Bryan Vs Sheamus

People often accuse WWE of lacking patience. Not here though. They tried this feud again and again and again. Unfortunately it never seemed to click, despite the obvious talent involved.

Daniel Bryan is one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation. Sheamus is perhaps one of the most underrated of his. But when pitted against one another, the storylines and the matches never quite delivered.

They butted heads over the United States title in 2010, where the Irishman even put his career on the line at one point. Despite their best efforts they could only earn a spot on the WrestleMania XVII pre-show. And even that ended in a DQ.

WWE rebooted the feud in 2012, this time with the World Heavyweight Championship being up for grabs. Any chance of it being cherished by fans was dashed when WWE for some reason decided to make Bryan lose in 18 seconds on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

The third time wasn’t the charm either as the 2015 iteration of the feud, this time over the IC title, was cut short because of Bryan’s then career ending injury. Sigh.
