10 Times WWE Ruined Kane

1. The Katie Vick Saga

Kane Booker T Goldust

By far the worst period of Kane's entire WWE career, the whole 'Katie Vick' adventure is one those involved in the company would like fans to forget. On the flip side, wrestling fans just wish it had never happened, because it truly was one of the worst angles ever put together by the company.

Feuding with Triple H in late-2002 was fine, but WWE decided to go off the rails with their storytelling and out Kane as a drunk driver who also enjoyed partaking in necrophilia. That is not a joke, Triple H outright claimed that Kane had killed the aforementioned Vick during a car accident, then decided to have sex with her corpse.

This disgusted many watching, who couldn't believe what WWE had come to. Not only was the whole thing distasteful, it also ruined everything fans had been told about Kane up to that point. If he was going on dates as a young man and driving vehicles, he couldn't have been as badly burned as WWE had previously declared.

Talk about retconning...

The Katie Vick saga must be considered one of the worst in wrestling history, and the most glaring moment when WWE ruined Kane's original character.
