10 Times WWE Ruined Kane

3. Corporate Kane

On the October 28, 2013 episode of Raw, Kane handed his mask to a grinning Stephanie McMahon and pledged his allegiance to The Authority. Immediately afterwards, he was transformed into 'Corporate' Kane, a suited and booted character that contrasted heavily with the 'Demonic' guise he had just been playing on television.

This persona lasted until the Summer of 2015, when Kane was laid out by Brock Lesnar and subsequently attacked by stablemate Seth Rollins. That set the stage for the return of the mask (again), but it can't be forgotten that the 'Corporate' look sapped Kane of his main selling points.

Wrestling in suit trousers, Kane didn't exactly look like the beast of days past. He was used as a bodyguard for Rollins throughout most of his time in The Authority, and it wasn't uncommon to see fans complaining on social media that the character flat out sucked.

It didn't particularly make sense that Kane was doing the bidding of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H either, especially considering the intense rivalry he'd been through with the latter for years.
