10 Times WWE Saddled Wrestlers With HORRENDOUS Names

2. Adam Bomb

Pity poor Bryan Clark, a stark lesson in the cruel life of a professional wrestling jobber. His WCW run as The Nightstalker, named after serial killer Richard Ramirez, was an exercise in tastelessness. The crowd didn’t find much to like about this tact - but Vince McMahon evidently did.

After a stint in the indies, Clark debuted in WWE as Adam Bomb. Billed as a survivor of a nuclear meltdown, Bomb was clad in a gaudy singlet emblazoned with a radiation symbol. He had a nuke tattoo, he wore laboratory goggles, and that was job done. Clark genuinely came from near Three Mile Island, the site of the inspirational nuclear near-disaster, but he evidently couldn’t bring much of his real experiences to the role, as he sank through the card quickly before returning to WCW. Someone in creative must have came up with the “Adam Bomb” pun late on a Friday, because the thought process didn’t go much further than that.

While you’re relying on your own skills to get over to some extent, it’s made a lot harder when you’re hamstrung with a name like that. Clark is now retired, so a final glorious rebirth is unlikely, but given his experiences, it’s hard to imagine he’d want back in the ring.
