10 Times WWE Was Totally Better Than Your Fantasy Booking

9. The End Of The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak

Your Fantasy Booking:

Have the Undertaker put over [Emerging Talent X]! It's a bigger rub than Jerry Lawler cracked out over the Divas from the years 1998 to 2015 inclusive! Such a huge victory would instantly make the next great heel in WWE, launching them into the main event stratosphere! All very sensible and forward-thinking, until the names pitched over the years reveal the folly behind it. Ted DiBiase, Jr. and Mr. Kennedy were mooted for this career-making moment in the late 2000s, and their careers confirm what a waste that would have been. Besides, whichever performer ended the Streak would have said "I ended the Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak!" more often than Chris Jericho's reminiscence of Vengeance 2001, so it's probably for the best.

WWE's Real Booking:

A triumph of production, the process of grief was orchestrated so brilliantly that the Superdome crowd was in denial over what they'd just witnessed, before an eerie devastation consumed the atmosphere. Brock Lesnar went on to become an even more dominant force - the most devastating storyline force in history - and the best of the Beast remains an imitable gladiatorial spectacle.

WWE was likely incapable of building and sustaining a star beyond the star-making turn, anyway.
