10 Times WWE Wasted HUGE Teases

5. Kofi Kingston Crushes Pancakes...

...and then just gets over it and moves on.

Seriously, when Kofi Kingston made a joke that MVP could last the length of his match with Brock Lesnar in the bedroom, it was the first time the former WWE Champion had acknowledged the absolute pasting he'd taken since grinding pancakes between his clenched fists in late-2019.

Watching Kingston's collapse against 'The Beast' was heartbreaking stuff, not least because this is no longer the past and the babyface no longer gets carefully booked out of a disaster in the aftermath. In modern day WWE, this was just a thing that happened with the next thing occurring so soon after the fact that nobody was given the time to grieve.

Kofi squashing the crepes while pretending not to give a cr*p looked like a sharp tell of where his head was at. Maybe it was, and maybe he was wanting to show everybody that it was, but WWE didn't give a sh*t about any of that. They'd squeezed just as tightly on the positive press KofiMania had generated in the months prior and were ready to go back to basics with Brock and whichever poor sap was next to try and get out of his shadow.
