10 Times WWE Went Too Far With Brock Lesnar

Less a case of going too far and more allowing a talent so much control that he held back, the Brock Lesnar/Dean Ambrose WrestleMania 32 match was robbed of its agency and intent by Lesnar's naked disinterest for the match and programme.

It was a story that only really had juice if the payoff extracted it but, as per Ambrose himself, Lesnar just wasn't really in the mood.

Speaking on a now-infamous Stone Cold Steve Austin WWE Network podcast, 'The Lunatic Fringe' commented that 'The Beast' simply wasn't interested in doing much - certainly not all the death-defying stuff he was willing to engage in just to make the match WrestleMania-worthy.

It wasn't really explored as to why that was, though WWE were perhaps only too happy to let Lesnar do as he pleased considering the fact that they'd already changed his WrestleMania match once that year. Brock was dispatched from the Royal Rumble by the Wyatt Family for a match against Bray Wyatt that never materialised - this was a second prize payday to him rather than the career-changing epic it could have been for Ambrose.
