10 Times WWE Went Wrong With Bayley On The Main Roster

1. This Is Your Life, Bayley (Raw, May 29, 2017)

There have been some awful, awful segments on Raw over the years, but few were worse than what we witnessed on the May 29 edition.

For some reason, WWE thought it was wise to recreate the classic This Is Your Life segment with The Rock and Mick Foley from 1999 with Alexa Bliss and Bayley. Unsurprisingly, it went over horribly with fans due to the acting being atrocious and the whole thing being a bad idea from the get-go.

WWE made a mockery of their own segment in the weeks that followed, going so far as to call it one of the worst ever, but the damage had been done, specifically to Bayley. Without her even there for a majority of it, Bayley was verbally buried by Bliss, her "old flames," and WWE's writing team in the process.

Why would fans want to buy into a babyface basically cast as a weak nerd? It was almost the company's way of saying we, as fans, shouldn't support her, hence why she was audibly booed at Extreme Rules the subsequent Sunday.

The biggest shame of all? We know Bayley is capable of so much more if her NXT stint was any indication, but this roast of her underdeveloped character could have been the final nail in the coffin of what has been a lackluster main roster run.
