10 Tiny Details About Wrestling Characters You Never Noticed

2. The Sharpshooter's Shape

Bret Hart's Sharpshooter has been adapted and used by everyone from his brother Owen and niece Natalya to Cesaro and even The Rock. That's hardly surprising. The move, which looks bloody brilliant when applied properly, is believably painful. Still, it doesn't really suit anyone more than Bret.

His nicknames include the 'Hitman' and the 'Excellence Of Execution'. Both of those refer to his status as the most dangerous man on the roster (even if it is slightly questionable why this trained assassin-in-waiting elects to wear bright pink and visor shades). There's more too. Look at the shape of his victim's legs when the Sharpshooter is applied.

They're eerily close to the crosshairs on a sniper's scope. One leg runs vertically, whereas the other goes horizontally across it. This was either another total coincidence or a sneaky way for Bret to further the notion that he was 'excellently executing' his rivals in the ring.

'Best There Ever Will Be' indeed.
