10 TNA Characters You Totally Don't Remember

1. Trytan

In one of TNA’s first attempts at producing vignettes, we were introduced to a man known as Trytan. It was not a half-bad video at all, and left some intrigue of who this guy was, and how he could perform in the ring.

Some mysteries are best left unsolved.

The man was absolutely huge, but at Destination X, he put on one of the worst matches the company has ever seen when he took on Monty Brown (which featured a masked Mideon being pinned and giving Brown the win, which 11 years later still makes no sense). It was a wreck all around. The company booked an incredibly green monster to not even win in his first match, and then had him disappear into thin air.

Trytan lasted three months in the company, never again receiving a big singles match before his contract ran up and was not renewed.

Of course, due to his massive size, WWE came calling. Literally his biggest moment there was defeating Funaki in a dark match...so, yes, his WWE career was actually far more successful than his TNA one.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
