10 TNA Characters You Totally Don't Remember

10. Rellik

If you remember Rellik, it’s likely either because of his creepy mask, or the fact that every match he was in Mike Tenay felt compelled to tell us that his name was “Killer” spelled backwards. Holy s**t! He was right! That just...makes the character lamer actually.

Rellik originally started out as REDRUM, but since that might make an enemy of Stephen King, they needed to find another word similar to murder that they could spell backwards. Thus, Rellik was born. Edicimoh was rumored to be their second choice.

Well, Rellik was the former Johnny The Bull from WCW and WWE, but he turned in his mobster-like ways for terrifying carnage and mayhem...which gave him exactly one tag team win with Black Reign in his entire run with the company. Basically they were The Shining Stars of TNA, except exchange Caribbean timeshares for a gimmick with threatening to kill people, and you pretty much have the same thing.

Rellik did have the cool mask going for him, but really, that was all. When a killer can’t beat anyone, that kind of defeats the entire purpose of the act. After a six month run, killer spelled backwards left TNA to probably work on spelling other things backwards.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
