10 TNA Matches You Totally Forgot (That WWE Should Now Book)

1. Samoa Joe Vs Bobby Roode

All looked lost for Samoa Joe as he slid from being TNA's top-drawing main eventer in 2008 against Kurt Angle to becoming his former rival's dogsbody with phallic face paint and pyjama bottoms less than a year later.

It mirrored Roode's own challenging rebuild after abruptly turning heel in late 2011 following the company's inexplicable decision not to have him defeat Angle at Bound For Glory that year.

So whilst both could claim their own slice of retribution against Kurt in a WWE ring should the Raw General Manager elect to re-lace the boots, a far more appealing clash is left on the table between arguably the two most misused talents in TNA's tumultuous history.

The rampant successes of Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode in the WWE system so far remain vindicating for fans that saw them struggle against the increasingly hostile tide of TNA's schizophrenic booking philosophy throughout much of the decade.

Joe tore through NXT with an aggression many thought the Orlando organisation had stubbed out once and for all, whilst Roode's cynically graceful stewardship over the developmental league's title has been an encouragingly patient representation of an old school heel titleholder.

The prospect of the two clashing at a major WWE show under spotlights they were never permitted to in TNA is mouth-watering, and surely remains in the company's longterm plans should both achieve sustained tenure on the main roster in years to come.
