10 TNA Superstars That Failed To Make An Impact In WWE

9. Monty Brown

In TNA, Monty Brown was exactly what he claimed to be - 'The Alpha Male'. A legitimate athlete with a Super Bowl runners up ring to his name, Brown was a natural fit in TNA. His larger than life persona and physical style made him one of the standout talents from TNA, reminiscent of The Rock in his early heel promos.

With high-profile victories over the likes of Kevin Nash, DDP, and Jeff Hardy, Brown was beginning to make a name for himself in the wrestling industry, main eventing several TNA PPVs in 2005 and 2006. As a result, WWE came calling and 'The Alpha Male' pounced on the opportunity in late 2006.

Making his WWE debut for the ECW brand in January 2007, Monty Brown was renamed Marcus Cor Von, in another one of WWE's random, name-generating endeavours. The newcomer quickly aligned with the New Breed stable of young talent present in WWE's ECW.

Despite initially gaining some momentum after several notable victories - including wins over RVD and CM Punk - Cor Von mysteriously vanished after losing to Punk in the ECW Championship tournament in June, citing family issues as the reason for his absence.

The Punk match would be his final WWE bout and he was let go in September 2007, less than a year after he arrived.
