9. Batista
This particular pick may come as a shock to some, but considering his place on the card at the various WrestleManias he was a part of, it really should't. Although he was present on the WrestleMania 20 card, which grossed over one million pay-per-view buys, the success of that event should be by no means attributed to him given that he was on the undercard that night. However, the same can't be said for the following year at WrestleMania 21, where he headlined against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship. That 'Mania did the highest buy-rate to that point (and the third biggest overall in history), scoring 1,085,000 buys. Missing the 2006 installment due to injury, he was back on the grand stage for WrestleMania 23, defending his world title against The Undertaker in one of the night's marquee matches. Of course, a large reason why that WrestleMania did so well was because of the build for the clash between Donald Trump and Mr. McMahon, two of the most well known millionaires in entertainment today. Still, take nothing away from Batista who played a small factor in scoring that impressive number.
