2. Roman Reigns Is “The Boss”

Today, wrestling fans know Roman Reigns as someone who survived relentless booing as a babyface to stand tall as one of the greatest heels of his generation. Becoming the 'Tribal Chief' arguably saved Roman from being trolled for the rest of his days, and he's been excellent since 2020 onwards.

Did you know? Some of Roman's swaggering characterisation was actually spotted during his earliest days on the FCW roster. In 2012, he was rethought as "The Boss", and started speaking in third-person like his cousin The Rock had started wearing snappy suits instead of colourful dress shirts.

There's still some footage of this if anyone's interested - it's well-worth taking a look at to see just how confident Reigns was even back then. He didn't even to get to show this level of personality in The Shield, and certainly didn't as a goofy-line-dropping good guy afterwards.

So, there you go. "Acknowledge Me" wasn't one of his catchphrases as "The Boss", but that early gimmick defo had some of the same arrogance.
