10 Totally HILARIOUS Wrestling Botches

2009 wasn't what you'd call the finest year in WWE women's wrestling history when it comes to the work going down in-between the ropes.

All of the ladies involved were clearly doing their best to deliver an exciting chunk of in-ring action, it must be said. But, there was still more than a few comical botches that have only gotten more hilarious with each passing year.

Perhaps the most bizarre and amusing of the bunch went down during May 5th, 2011's edition of Monday Night Raw, with the legendary Mickie James teaming with Kelly Kelly in a tag bout against Maryse and Jillian Hall.

Not too long after a rather fiery James hot tag and high-flying manoeuvre off the top-rope onto Maryse, Hall just about breaks up the attempt to come away with the pin-fall win.

And what came next was simultaneously amusing and actually quite polite.

After being clocked by a Jillian right hand (at 4:58 in the video above), both Kelly Kelly and Hall awkwardly share a look for a moment before the former remembers to drop to the mat and lower the middle rope.

Making an already unintentionally funny botched spot that little bit more absurd, though, Hall then chose to only start her attempted attack after the rope had finally been lowered, making the heel look even more foolish than intended as she opted to still fall for the blatant reversal rather than do literally anything else in the moment.
