10 Transitional Wrestling Moves That Should Be Finishers

5. Gorilla Press

The gorilla press body slam takes an incredible amount of strength to pull off successfully. Especially after 10 minutes or so into a match, where the competitors are fatigued and not at their freshest, to hoist an individual over one's head and slam them onto the mat takes both power and control and it should be enough to score the victory.

The taller and/or stronger the performer is, the better.

To be most effective, the move should be reserved for only the strongest, and most physically impressive wrestlers, the "body guys". Throughout history, muscled-up stars like The Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg, or The British Bulldog would utilize the move, sometimes even doing several reps with their opponents body in mid-air.

It's an impressive move to see and it's very easy for the audience to believe in. It just needs to be moved back into the fold as a finisher and, like several of the other great finishing holds, used selectively for specific superstars.
