10 UFC Fighter Comebacks Which Could Potentially Happen In 2020
9. Cris Cyborg
Admittedly, a few of these entries are quite hopeful, but that doesn't make them impossible.
Cris Cyborg left the UFC in 2019 and didn't exactly appear to be in a rush to work with Dana White and co. again in the near future.
The former UFC Featherweight Champion felt as though she was being bullied by White, whereas the boss felt that Cyborg saw 'herself in the twilight of her career' and only wanted 'easier fights'.
Well, since leaving the UFC she has gone on to become Bellator's Featherweight Champion and is showing no signs of slowing down in her new company.
Yet, there's still one glaring blemish on her career that you imagine the deeply competitive Brazilian will want to avenge at some point down the line.
That loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232.
With that in mind, if ever there was a time to book a cross-promotional super-fight, 2020 could be the year to do it. At the end of the day, if there's money to be made then the rival companies could easily reach an agreement which benefits both parties and gives MMA fans a rematch for the ages.
As I said, it may be hopeful. However, in this insane environment we call the fight game, anything is possible... you may just have to keep Dana White and Cris Cyborg in separate rooms.
