4. Jon Jones

Regardless of his reputation as one of the best ever, period, it’s hard for anybody to fully get behind Jon Jones these days. And Dana White is no exception.

Jonny Bones is an MMA machine. In 25 fights to date, Jones only has one extremely controversial DQ loss on his record, and the 32-year-old constantly makes it look easier each and every time that he steps in the Octagon.

The problem is, Jon Jones is Jon Jones’ most imposing opponent.

While Jones was at one point the poster boy of the UFC, that all went off a cliff when the New York native began to have his run-ins with the law and then fail several UFC drug tests. To make all of this even more frustrating, Bones would return to action and look a million dollars between all of these issues – amidst being stripped of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship a ridiculous three times.

To stir the pot further, Jones is responsible for the only cancelled PPV in UFC history, when he refused to fight Chael Sonnen at UFC 151 after original opponent, Dan Henderson, had to pull out due to injury.

Dana White is always going to welcome Jon Jones back with open arms because, well, he’s Jon Jones and the best pound-for-pound fighter in the game, but Dana’s goo-goo eyes and unrelenting defence of Jones has taken a nosedive over the last couple of years.
