Okay, Sheamus is probably twice his size, so that might not work, but putting the brash featherweight from Ireland in the ring would have hilarious results, as McGregor is great on the mic and quick to respond - imagine the promos he could shoot. He's another guy who could do a Ric Flair sort of routine as well - he's actually won the VIP Style award for Most Stylish Man in 2014. This selection (and several others on the list) generally work as fantasy only, since the WWE is more obsessed with bigger guys, but if McGregor bulked up a little, learned to work in the ring, and was paired up with the right wrestler to feud against (the recently returned Chris Jerico would be perfect), you could definitely have some magic. Overall, McGregor would be awesome to see in the WWE. Bring him in as the protégé of Fit Finlay, and then do a heel turn later.
