10 Ugliest Wrestling Championship Belts

In 2009, WWE chose to unify the WWE Tag Team Titles and the World Tag Team Titles. In previous years, the former pair was property of Smackdown, while the latter was part of Raw. Once the borders between the brands started to fade, though, it was decided that only one pair of tag titles was needed. The name "WWE Tag Team Titles" stuck, but the champs carried both pairs of belts around.

The next year, though, the company decided to cut down on the hardware by introducing a new set of titles... and they came up with the above design. It's hard to know where to start when it comes to describing exactly what's wrong with it, but arguably the most noticeable fault is the bronze color of the plates. Many a critic has likened the titles to "giant pennies."

Also baffling are the Roman centurion helmets that adorn the center plate and two of the side plates. It's hard to say why they're even there, short of some very loose logic involving centurions, battles, armies, and teams, but even with that level of mental gymnastics there are still more questions than answers.
