4. Mike Tyson Vs. Triple H - WrestleMania X-Seven

With the huge WrestleMania rematch between 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Rock scheduled to headline WrestleMania X-Seven, Triple H was left in no-man's land heading into the event without an opponent of his own.

A number of scenarios were bandied around in the build up to the big show, including Triple H coaxing Shawn Michaels out of retirement for a DX implosion. While that would eventually take place at SummerSlam 2002, HBK wasn't quite ready in 2001 and the idea was shelved.

Instead, the attention turned to sports stars, including Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens and even an MMA import from Pride FC. Neither idea went much further and Vince instead looked to pair 'The Game' with boxing's biggest badass, 'Iron' Mike Tyson. Playing off their previous association in D-Generation X, this booking would have made far more sense and the global name-recognition of Tyson was infinitely more marketable.

While the specifics of the match are sketchy, the bout would have seen Triple H square off with 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' in a six round boxing match. Luckily for 'The Game', the money involved was astronomical; the Tyson bout was nixed and Triple H's face was spared.

Instead, 'The Cerebral Assassin' faced The Undertaker in hugely entertaining bout that spilled throughout the stadium.
