Every year, usually after WrestleMania, WWE goes through what they call spring cleaning, which is a deceptive name for large-scale termination of employee contracts. The usual victims of this cleaning are low-card Superstars who barely get any TV time, or who arent being used on TV. Throughout the year, WWE goes through their list of contracts, and releases people whom they dont think will make it. Sometimes, a WWE Superstar starts gaining momentum and then loses everything before being let go. In other situations, all it takes is for a single bad decision to cause someone to be given their walking papers. And in others, WWE Superstars fall victim to the proverbial glass ceiling, never reaching their full potential due to some backstage politics. This article will look at 10 WWE alumni who shouldn't have been released. They could've had much better careers if given more time or a better creative situation, but were instead mishandled during their WWE tenures and were never able to achieve their maximum potential.
