10 Unexpected WWE Standouts Of 2016
5. Finn Bálor
We all expected Finn Bálor to achieve great things once he was called up to the main roster. No one expected him to achieve them so quickly.
Upon his first night after being drafted to RAW, Bálor won a Fatal Four-Way with Cesaro, Rusev, and Kevin Owens, pinned golden boy Roman Reigns clean in the main event later that night, and went on to beat Seth Rollins at his PPV debut at SummerSlam to become the inaugural WWE Universal Champion. The man is currently 3-0 on the main roster, and may be the only undefeated wrestler on either brand this year!
I know, I know, that's because he went down to injury before he could lose a match. That being said, we know what he accomplished in one month on the main roster. Pair that with his NXT success, and we are all eagerly anticipating 2017, and the return of the Demon King.
