The Miz is a former WWE Champion who holds the distinction of being one of only four heels in WWE history to leave victorious in the main event of WrestleMania (the other three being Triple H, Steve Austin, and Seth Rollins). He has also captured the Grand Slam Championship throughout his WWE career which includes Miz's reigns as WWE, Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Champion. With those impressive accomplishments, one might wonder why someone with that resume would be on a list of talents that have been booked as nothing better than average. Following the peak of Miz's career, like so many before and after him, he would lose to John Cena and begin his descent down the card. Along with the mid-card came eventual inconsistent feuds with Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, and Ryback in which wins were traded back-and-forth. The Miz is one of the few talents who actually generates heel heat whenever he is in the arena or on-screen and has a great ability to make people dislike him. While that quality might often leade to big-time main events, The Miz is booked to lose as often as he wins and that hurts his character's credibility. No one would believe The Miz if he were to challenge Brock Lensar, or other main event talent, at WrestleMania this year. The former WWE Champion has lost too many matches and too many feuds to be able to consider himself a main eventer, and the only way for Miz to get back into that promised land is by booking him to win. He has most other qualities required of a main event heel: great on the mic, dislikable, heat magnet, and he is good enough in the ring, but WWE does not see him as valuable enough to be excluded from the dreaded 50/50 club.
