In conquering The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team titles, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn set a myriad of tag team-centric records that corresponded with Owens' own prevalence as a Grand Slam Champion.

Prominently, they became the first two WWE Superstars who lost at the prior year's WrestleMania - Owens to 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and Zayn to Johnny Knoxville - before uniting to win the Tag Team titles at the subsequent 'Show of Shows', in doing so becoming WWE's first all-Canadian Tag Team Champions since 2010's reign of The Hart Dynasty.

Kevin Owens, now the sixteenth modern Grand Slam Champion, became the first to achieve the accomplishment since AJ Styles lifted the Raw Tag Team titles with Omos at WrestleMania 37, a gap of two years; this, in turn, is the longest gap between new Grand Slam Champions since a three-year divide between 2012 - which The Miz and The Big Show accomplish the feat - and 2015, where Daniel Bryan did so.

Lastly, Kevin and Sami's victory of the titles makes them the first pairing since The Hardy Boyz to have clashed at WrestleMania and later won Tag Team titles together at a future 'Mania, having collided at WrestleMania 37.
