10 Unique Ways Wrestlers Celebrated Winning Matches
2. Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake Lives Up To His Nickname
The final entry of our trio of Golden Era wrestlers is none
other than Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake. Bet you can’t figure out how he
celebrated his victories.
Beefcake was part of the heel tandem the Dream Team alongside Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, winning WWF tag gold in 1985, but losing the straps at WrestleMania 2. The following year, at WM 3, Beefcake found himself kicked off the Dream Team, only to resurface moments later to help “Rowdy” Roddy Piper cut Adrian Adonis’ hair after his match.
Thus launched a massive career shift for Brutus, who became “The Barber” and delighted in putting opponents to sleep and then cutting their hair afterward to celebrate. Beefcake rarely got to snip a well-known wrestler’s hair, but his post-match haircuts were easily one of the most unique victory dances in WWF.
And given some of the other entries here, that’s saying a lot.
