On the first night of AEW Bash at the Beach 2020, Kenny Omega and Hangman Page won a pulsating four-way tag team banger to creep one step closer to the World Tag Team Championships.

It was a cracking match that escalated the high spots perfectly and built the storyline that would erupt in seminal fashion at Revolution. The Young Bucks, cut off from one another, ignored Hangman Page and tagged in Omega. If somebody other than them had to score the fall, it couldn't be Hangman. It had to be Kenny. This story beat strengthened Page's resolve to break away from the Elite.

This narrative detail was lost on WWE's Baron Corbin, who buried the match on Twitter as a spot-fest. "Spot spot spot spot dive dive dive dive," he tweeted, oblivious to the nuances of the match. This was consistent with the onscreen persona he took on in NXT. There, he proclaimed to be above the indie set circling around him because he didn't need to work "bingo halls" for years to get signed.

All of which makes the origins of his (legit great) End of Days finish very unlikely. It was invented by AEW's Evil Uno as 'Something Evil' and subsequently modified from its powerbomb set-up in Full Sail.

Baron Corbin: PWG mark confirmed.
