10 Unnecessary WWE Details You Need To Know

From unwanted Royal Rumble records, to frankly insane forgotten WWE pitches...

Everybody loves a piece of somewhat useless trivia, don't they?

And luckily for those fond of spending their precious time kicking back and talking all things wrestling with their pals or escaping into the world of babyfaces and heels after a long, hard day's work, the world of Sports Entertainment in particular is simply overflowing with brilliant, if admittedly rather unessential, details, facts, and anecdotes that are just waiting to be discovered.

I mean, who honestly doesn't want to come equipped with the answer to precisely which WWE star was the last to boast a Jim Johnston theme song? Or have an accurate response to exactly who currently owns the strongest win percentage and some of the most unwanted records in company history?

So, if you're the kind of general knowledge lover who just can't get through a night out without informing your long-suffering non-wrestling fan mates which WWE wrestler won the most matches over the last 12 months (spoiler, it was Bianca Belair... because of course it was!), then does your writer have the entirely unnecessary collection of WWE details for you.

10. Edge Is The Only Multiple Royal Rumble Winner Not To Win His 'Mania Match

Winning the 30-person over-the-top-rope titular encounter at the Royal Rumble has become an honour almost more impressive than picking up a world title strap over the last few decades, with outlasting 29 other stars in the epic bout helping immortalise many a talented wrestler.

But coming out on top in multiple Rumbles is about as monumental as it gets, with only a couple of stars holding that spectacular record in WWE history. With numerous cracks at winning the big one at the Show of Shows, it seems logical to assume that each and every one of the multiple-time winners have all been able to walk out of WrestleMania with a world championship belt on at least one occasion then, right?

Well, unfortunately for the Rated R Hall of Famer himself, despite winning both the 2010 and 2021 matches, Edge was never able to translate those huge Rumble victories into a win on The Grandest Stage of Them All; making him the only multiple-time winner of the match to not win any of his subsequent world title 'Mania encounters.
