5. Ronda Rousey Is A Total Pro

Was Ronda Rousey's debut match the most thrilling moment in modern WWE history?

It was as irritating as it was euphoric; when WWE doesn't think a wrestler is a meek mark piece of sh*t who should count themselves lucky to work there, they can actually put their soup brains together and make magic, even to this day.

At WrestleMania 34, in a tremendous spectacle elevated by Stephanie McMahon realising her immense potential as a heel...for 20 minutes out of five years, Rousey finally got her hands on and beat the sh*t out of her. When she was done, at first, Ronda surveyed the strand of hair ripped from Steph's scalp and shrugged before proceeding with the murder. Instantly grasping the theatre as quickly as the mechanics, Rousey also got the core of everything: suspension of disbelief.

Yes, she broke kayfabe and called you marks - which, again, was suspiciously OK for Brian Pillman to do - but she also demanded that Becky Lynch beat the sh*t out of her with full-force crutch shots at Elimination Chamber 2019.

"They might not believe everything, but they'll believe me" is a famous Terry Funk-ism that Rousey borrowed in her feud with Lynch - into which Charlotte Flair was inserted, because maybe they can't make magic after all.
