10 Unusual Ways To Get Hired By WWE

5. Do Something - ANYTHING - Else (Ronda Rousey)

'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' wasn't the first to break big in WWE having already conquered another world entirely, but Ronda Rousey's rampant success between the ropes spoke volumes for an old adage Jim Ross had about sports stars being perfect fodder for Sports Entertainment.

His take during his time as Talent Relations doyen was that the competitive edge that propelled them in other fields could easily be repurposed as fire for finding their feet in an entirely different enterprise. It was proven true with countless ex-footballers, several celebrities and numerous second generation stars - Charlotte Flair's drive isn't just genetic, but honed from a high level volleyball career before entering her second life in NXT.

Truthfully, it's becoming a little embarrassing in 2019 just how good the supposed outsiders are once they've broken in. Shayna Baszler made it onto television before her Four Horsewoman friend Rousey, and whilst her aura's been protected by strong NXT booking, her obvious aptitude doesn't require a smoke-and-mirrors approach anyway. Brock Lesnar became ten times the fearsome WWE fighter after sh*t got real for him in UFC, all whilst in-built Sports Entertainers floundered around him.

The game has inarguably changed - it stands to reason that players would too.
