10 Unusual Ways To Lose Your Job With WWE

10. Stand Up For Yourself

During Alberto Del Rio's relatively short first WWE career, he won two WWE Championships, two World Heavyweight Championships, a Money in the Bank briefcase, and a Royal Rumble - all while remaining a model employee. That's why when Del Rio was fired in August of 2014 for "unprofessional conduct", fans and insiders were shocked.

It turned out Del Rio was the victim of discrimination. WWE social media manager Cody Barbierri made a racist remark toward Del Rio, and when the former WWE Champion demanded an apology and didn't get one, he slapped Barbierri. When the office worker threatened legal action against WWE, the company decided to cave in to his demands and released Del Rio to appease him.

WWE may have been trying to avoid a headache, but they ended up looking like bullies for firing Del Rio and not the man who antagonized him.
