10 Unusual Ways To Lose Your Job With WWE

7. Interrupt The National Anthem

Former WWE superstar and current producer Dave 'Fit' Finlay has a rare reputation in wrestling circles - he's an honest man who takes responsibility for his actions and accepts any and all of their consequences. It's a trait that's made him well-respected among his peers and admired by the current WWE workers who learn from him.

Finlay's honesty meant that, when he screwed up at a house show in 2011, he graciously took the punishment that resulted. At the show, Finlay made the call to have WWE Champion The Miz interrupt the U.S. national anthem in order to get heat on him prior to WrestleMania. Many fans who were in attendance - including several members of the National Guard - were offended by the tactic. With all the charity work WWE does in support of the military, they could not abide an infraction like that.

Finlay made the decision, took the blame, and was summarily fired. Still, as a knowledgeable wrestling veteran and a man of character, he had much to offer WWE, and the following year, he was rehired.
