There's a lot of crossover between acting and professional wrestling. The latter is as much a performing art as it is a sport, which is why so many WWE stars have made the jump from the ring to the big screen over the years.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is still one of the most prolific, and highest earning, stars in Hollywood, while Dave Bautista has established himself as a key player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and powerslammed his way into other massive franchises such as Blade Runner and James Bond along the way.

Fresh off the back of shooting Inconceivable with Nicolas Cage, Eva Marie has dived right into another film and this one's about Nicolas Cage.

Action #1 is a TV movie which focuses on two comic store employees who attempt to steal the Oscar-winning star's original copy of Action Comics #1, the insanely valuable anthology in which Superman famously made his debut.

The film was written by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon and is directed by Alex Fernie, who's shooting it in Vancouver and British Columbia until 22 November.

The production schedule appears to rule Marie out of next month's Survivor Series, but shooting a film is a better get-out cluase than some of her past excuses for swerving ring action.
