5. Rowan

This was special.

Erick Rowan came out of nowhere to make his AEW debut during another six man pitting Hangman Page, John Silver and Alex Reynolds vs. MJF, Santana and Ortiz. He chased Wardlow away from ringside and then tearfully embraced some new brothers whilst paying respects to another.

The big man also held up a sign that read, "Goodbye for now, my brother. See you down the road". Meanwhile, Silver was nearly inconsolable, and Chris Jericho remarked on commentary that this was "real". It certainly was. Rowan's written message said more than any carefully-worded promo could.

It remains to be seen if he'll stick around, or if this was a one-off. If he does, great, but it's more important that Rowan got to publicly show solidarity with Brodie's friends and family. Bringing him in was a really nice touch from AEW management.
