10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash (Jan 13)

Quick, effective, and straightforward, Chuck Taylor vs. Miro did everything it needed to, as 'The Best Man' battered the Best Friend in just a few minutes - but not in a way that left Taylor buried.

Chuck started hot, launching at Miro from the bell, taking control before the former Rusev could even get his bearings. As funny as he is, the former DUSTIN's real strength is brawling, as he proved again here. Regardless, his night ended with the inevitable Miro comeback. As angry and fired up as he has been for the past month or so, Miro clobbered Taylor with a stiff thrust kick, put him in the Game Over, tapped him out, and made him his young boy.

The post-match situation suggested that the final destination is Miro vs. Orange Cassidy, as the two stared each other down while a helpless Taylor was taken away from the ring by Miro, Kip Sabian, and Penelope Ford. Perhaps that'll go down at Revolution next month? Whatever the case, this did a good job of making Miro look like a force.
