9. RIP-Truth

R-Truth Samoa Joe

Remember R-Truth? Apparently he's a thing again, and if this is how they're going to use him, that's okay by us.

Samoa Joe took the 46-year-old's soul, murdering the former United States Champion after his daft rap to the ring (which the crowd were 100% into, despite his time away). A brief fire-up spot was all Truth could muster. Joe totally overwhelmed him, first with strikes, before eventually sending him to the shadow realm with a vice-like Coquina Clutch, positioning the big man as the ultimate badass ahead of the night's other developments.

A match of this length requires no further exposition. Joe killed it, Truth was over, and like Asuka vs. Kay, it did everything it needed to. Job done.
