10 Ups & 12 Downs For WWE In 2020 (So Far)

3. Super ShowDown

Including the year's solitary Saudi Arabian show here almost feels like a cop-out, so low is their average quality, though Super ShowDown 2020 was particularly awful. This was a dull, unending slog that would have been without a single redeeming feature if not for the two solid Tag Team Title bouts.

The opening Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet was a complete waste of time that stretched beyond 40 minutes from start to finish, saw one competitor god-book himself into the bout, featured a nonsensical R-Truth miracle run, and saw the titular trophy inexplicably put over as the most prestigious thing in the world. Brock Lesnar squashed Ricochet without granting him a single hope spot. Goldberg made a mockery of Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' character, taking the Universal Title from a unique, money-spinning gimmick that fans were still deeply invested in. Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin contested one of the least eventful cage matches ever to put an exclamation point on their neverending rivalry. The list goes on.

This show was a giant turd. It's nice that the Riyadh fans got to see their favourite wrestlers in the flesh again, though this doesn't justify the dismal quality.
