Confusing demotions are always a fact of life in WWE, where pushes can begin or end in the blink of an eye, though that doesn't make them any less disappointing. 2020 has had more than its fair share.

Zelina Vega's gang of Austin Theory, Andrade, and Angel Garza promised much when they came together, but were soon typecast as losers, couldn't break that impression, and have now shed Theory as tensions rise between Andrade and Garza. Ricochet has been relegated to Main Event after challenging for Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship just four months ago. Brought to the main roster at WrestleMania 36 (following a stellar Royal Rumble run), creative has nothing for megastar-in-waiting Bianca Belair. Remember Shayna Baszler? Riddick Moss?

Paul Heyman, to his credit, at least endeavour to get the likes of Aleister Black, Apollo Crews, and the Street Profits over with wider audiences. His recent deposal suggests these names and more could soon join this listed above.
