10 Ups & 12 Downs For WWE In 2020 (So Far)

10. Ninja Stuff

Akira Tozawa
WWE.com

The reductiveness of having Asian wrestler Akira Tozawa playing a ninja clan leader with full garb and choreographed poses on television shouldn't need pointing out, but there you go. We just pointed it out.

That the gimmick debuted in WWE's most so-bad-it's-hilarious match of 2020 makes matters worse, as does the lack of laughs. This is supposed to be funny! You're supposed to pop when you see Tozawa roll up with the gigantic Jordan Omogbehin and "threaten" dudes who invariably kick his ass, and that's a problem: WWE's low comedy remains horrendous.

Let's hope this dies quickly.
