10 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Apr 8)

7. Better By Brodie

Brodie Lee
AEW

A better week for Brodie Lee, whose Vince McMahonisms were nowhere near as overt as they have been on recent shows.

The cult leader rolled up to a building and admonished a few of his followers. One was suit-clad, the other two were not, and he picked on them, saying that perception is reality and they looked like "one of them." Lee said that they were looking at the exit ramp when unlimited power and success was in their grasp and that it was his job to make every single life he touches extraordinary, which is exactly the kind of poison he should be spitting.

A squash match victory over Lee Johnson followed, with everything Lee did looking sharp, snug, and impactful. It's hard to tell whether or not this is getting over because we don't have audience reactions to gauge it, but the guy is 6'5" and out there doing Eddie Guererro sh*t like it's nothing, while everything else looks suitably bruising.
