10 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jun 24)

6. Ford Vs. Shida Heats Up

Simple, effective booking aplenty in the women's division last night, as Penelope Ford and Hikaru Shida got into it ahead of Fyter Fest.

Shida confronted Ford while walking down for her scheduled match with Red Velvet. Her aggression carried into her in-ring performance as she ran through her opponent remarkably quickly, first nailing a high knee, then the Falcon Arrow for the WWE. Immediately, the Women's Champion hopped the barricade to brawl with Ford, knocking Kip Sabian down halfway through, before other crowd members were eventually able to pull them apart.

Good heat, good intensity, and a jolt of energy before the Fyter Fest clash? Yeah, that's an easy Up.
