10 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jun 17)

6. The Dr. Britt Baker, DMD Appreciation Slide

Britt Baker was absolutely phenomenal again after last week, in which she had the temerity to crack only one piss-funny joke. She has created an enormous expectation for herself and somehow contrived to smash it. Her obnoxious insistence on disrupting the show was as hilarious as it was in character.

She is a Role Model.

The show cannot do without the gift of her guidance, and she built a contraption to facilitate it. She used the contraption to hand notes to Tony Schiavone, one of which read, to put over Abadon, "This broad needs to find Jesus ASAP". That was as fantastic as her accompanying, unsettled facial expression, which sold the threat just subtly enough so as to not make a full cartoon of the presentation.

She was later interviewed by Tony Schiavone, who by displeasing her earned a "friendship time-out" Jesus Christ this woman is absolutely sensational at this. In a terrific moment - imagine not being weird robots and acknowledging the wider world - Big Swole did her best Undertaker impression and sent Baker on a joyride.

This division is actively and entertainingly building matches that it can't even promote. Shaken from its apathetic lull, the AEW Women's division is officially damn good now.
