10 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 29)

1. Nose To Nose

When Tessa Blanchard lost to Sami Callihan at Slammiversary, fans were outraged.

When Tessa Blanchard failed to win the X Division Championship at Bound For Glory, fans were outraged.

Now, she has to win the World Championship from Sami Callihan.

She confronted the new champion after he lifted the championship from Brian Cage, seemingly indicating that she's putting her name in the hat to end his reign. No words or actions were required here. All that we needed to see was the two staring each other dead in the eye, neither taking their eyes off the other for any reason.

Impact has to pull the trigger on Tessa this time. if she fails to win in another big opportunity, then the chance will have passed to make her the biggest star in the company. What other female has captured a World Championship that's predominantly fought for by males? None that come to mind (the Intercontinental Championship, held by Chyna, doesn't count).

We'll have to wait and see how this one pans out, but it really can only end one way.
