10 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 15)

1. Cool, You're 2-1 Down

Willie Mack pinned Brian Myers this week, gaining a slight bit of retribution for his previous two losses to 'The Most Professional Wrestler'. He had no reason to celebrate, however, seeing as this was his first win over Myers in the pair's three matches together thus far. What is there to celebrate?

For the most part, the match was the same as the other two were - some fine competitiveness between the duo, with Mack's mixture of hard-hitting and high-flying proving to get the best of the former Raw Tag Team Champion on multiple occasions. What wasn't a highlight, though, was Myers again cheating, as he removed a turnbuckle pad at one point, while also being unsuccessful in his pinfall attempt following a low blow.

His antics would come back to haunt him, seeing as 'Chocolate Thunder' evaded a flying Myers, sending him crashing into the exposed steel in the corner, with a Stunner sealing Brian's fate.

Again, it was a fine match for what it was, but the cheating helps no-one. Considering he's now cheated in three out of his four matches since arriving in Impact Wrestling - the only he didn't cheat in was his debut World Championship match with Eddie Edwards - it makes it seem as if Myers can't get the job done without sinking to these sorts of levels. In the long run, that only lowers his stature in the company.
